Description of Internship:
MWC is seeking an intern to assist our communications, advocacy and online/digital teams with content development, potential client and issue research, social media management, and internal and external public relations.
Strong written and oral communications skills, including knowledge of AP style of writing and the ability to proofread and edit copy necessary
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products necessary
Should be prepared to work in a business environment, highly self-motivated, with an ability to multitask, work on deadline, and an ability to work alone or as part of a team necessary
Junior-level student preferred
Interest in public policy or government preferred
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products preferred
This is a paid internship. Hours are flexible to the needs of the chosen candidate, but would consist of at least 10 per week at a rate of $10/hour, totaling at least 150 hours throughout the course of the internship. This position is offered during the 2017 fall semester but may be extended further based on performance of the chosen candidate.
