Fall 2017: Local Healthy Entrepreneur - Marketing Intern (PAID -- Deadline Sept. 8)

Michelle Kabler, local Healthy Cooking Expert, is seeking a Marketing Intern for the Fall 2017 Semester. As a certified Natural Foods Chef, she provides 1-on-1 food coaching, private cheffing, and healthy cooking digital content with the mission to inspire others to live their healthiest lives, starting in their own kitchens. This Marketing Intern will have hands-on experience growing an online presence through social media channels, her blog, and email marketing. This is an incredible opportunity for a communications student to gain real-world entrepreneurial experience in branding, marketing, and content management while working with a passionate local entrepreneur that has grown her business from the ground up.



  • Manage execution of blog, including ghost-writing weekly blog posts, posting to website, and scheduling weekly newsletters for

  • Write and schedule weekly social media posts across Instagram and Facebook @michellekabler

  • Respond to blog and social comments using brand voice

  • Brainstorm recipe ideas, and occasionally assist in testing and tasting process

  • Actively contribute to weekly 2-hour work sessions, seen as an equal voice within the company (no fetching coffee and making copies here!)



  • Relevant experience writing blogs, articles, and social media posts, either for a personal brand or an organization

  • Collaborative, positive, team-player attitude a must

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a natural leader and self-starter

  • Expert time manager and problem solver

  • Interest in healthy cooking a plus

  • Currently majoring in Advertising, Journalism, or Public Relations

  • Must be available for weekly 2-hour in-person work sessions


Scheduling Requirements:

  • 10 total weeks/50 total hours (September 25th - December 8th)

  • 5 hours per week:

    • 2-hour in-person work sessions each week

    • Approx. 3-hours of additional work to be completed on own time each week

  • Potential to resume in Spring 2018 semester based on performance



  • $10/hour

  • 1 academic credit

  • Free healthy recipe tastings and coffee
