Purpose and Objective

We’re looking for a highly creative, self-directed graphic + visual design unpaid intern (seeking academic credit) to help us tell elegant, visual, impactful stories about Impact Makers’ services, solutions, mission, values and impact using a variety of channels (video, social, online ads, web assets).
This intern will be part of the Sales & Marketing team and will work closely with our Content Strategy Specialist.
Essential Responsibility Functions • Support content management and social media strategy across all relevant channels (including website, thought leadership, blogs) • Developing graphics/visual designs (including infographics) to tell compelling stories (using Adobe InDesign + PowerPoint) • Concepting, shooting + editing videos based on creative direction. • Measuring relevant results across all channels • Creating content and supporting execution of content calendar (posting content), as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Passionate about making a difference • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher with focus in graphic/visual design • Videography experience behind the camera and in the studio • Proven track record + portfolio of compelling, creative graphic + visual designs • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite + Adobe InDesign • Strong oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work across organization • Ability to work independently, with various stakeholders and meet time specific deadlines • Experience in multiple channel strategy including digital, print and other media • Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
This position requires work during normal business hours (9 – 5 p.m.). Travel may be required and will be reimbursed per Impact Makers’ policy.
