Fall 2017: Diamonds in the Rough - Research & Administrative Intern

Diamonds in the Rough is currently looking for an interested junior or senior who is open minded, creative and willing to contribute to our company’s growth, along with administrative and research duties. We are based here in the Richmond area. Our company mission solely focuses on training, awareness, and prevention on the topic of domestic sex trafficking. We are a new company and in order to continue growth, we would like to ensure all of our presentation materials and resources are professional and current.

This is a great opportunity for Business Administration majors and/or Criminal Justice/Sociology students to merge academic skills with business to help gear them for the real world. Intern will be collaborating closely with President of Company on all project related material.

Preferred Fields of Study Include: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Public Administration

The responsibilities of your role will include, but is not limited to the following:
Research, compile, and analyze statistics current events, for a variety of administrative duties.
Assist organization lead in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical and professional tasks.
Prepare and present reports; respond to requests for information.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:
Modern business methods, practices, procedures, and equipment, including personal computer, modern software, and spreadsheet programs.
Working toward a college degree and proof of enrollment, preferably in a related field.
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, Power Point, PREZI, Excel).
Organizing with the ability to prioritize work independently.
Thoroughly carrying out oral and written instructions.
Conducting Research and assistance with special Projects

Receive School Credit ( If Applicable)
Build your resume with professional experience
Working with a grass-roots based consultancy firm committed to social activism
Will receive an designated intern email during internship

**This is an unpaid/volunteer internship**
