Fall 2016: The Camel - Marketing & Advertising Intern

Organization: The Camel is an employee owned and operated music venue, bar and restaurant located on the outskirts of the VCU campus just past Lombardy at 1621 W. Broad Street. The Camel is home to local, regional, national and international touring acts and aims to foster the Richmond music community by providing an intimate venue for seeing great live music 7 nights a week.

Position: The Camel is looking for creative young professionals seeking marketing and advertising experience in the business. Accepted applicants would be expected to develop strategic marketing plans for events as well as the venue in all its facets (music, bar and restaurant) through graphic design, market research etc. Interns will be expected to keep office hours each week as well as do field work totaling 20-30 hours.

Qualifications: Intuitive and creative individual with strong computer skills including all social media platforms, a reliable laptop, Microsoft Office platforms, Adobe Photoshop CS, transportation, some night time availability, good organizational skills, interest in the music industry and in developing a street team.

This is an unpaid internship however, employee incentives are extended to interns and there may be room for growth within the company at the end of the program. Send a resume and cover letter to if interested.
