From creating campaign materials to updating the website to designing graphics for the web, this position gives the opportunity for you to expand our brand through many different platforms. This internship is ideal for communication majors, marketing majors, skilled graphic design students or recent graduates who are looking to learn and be challenged by a highly creative work environment, while building a killer portfolio. This intern will help empower and engage families, donors, and supporters of Richmond Montessori School. Richmond Montessori School is a premier Montessori community, inspiring academic excellence and nurturing human potential in Richmond, VA.
School Description: For over fifty years Richmond Montessori School has remained dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori education in a student-centered environment and has remained true to the mission of its founders and the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) independent school dually-accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. We serve students aged 2-14 on our two adjacent campuses incorporating almost eight acres of beautiful green space located in Richmond, Virginia. Our team is comprised of over fifty dedicated, energetic and passionate staff who are fully committed to our values of Excellence, Character, Authenticity, Respect and Community.
-First and foremost, a passion for elevating and illuminating the RMS brand in the Richmond community!
-Designing print materials, brochures, banners, postcards, business cards, etc. (not required that you do graphic design, although preferred)
-Social media (taking photos, writing content, posting and scheduling)
-Managing a social media contest (Name the Falcon mascot contest)
-Administrative tasks such as updating lists, maintaining files
-Photography: capturing impactful images on campus to share with the world.
-Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications to fullfill a targeted marketing plan.
