Bonfire.com is transforming the way people buy and sell high-quality custom apparel. As BonfireFunds.com, a leading online fundraising site, we've helped thousands of causes and organizations raise millions of dollars by selling their own custom shirts. We’ve recently become Bonfire.com, a flexible platform that allows any cause and now any community, to buy and sell apparel.
This PR internship is open from early September to mid-December to students who will be either Seniors or Graduates at time of internship enrolled in an advertising, marketing, communications or related field.
The Bonfire PR Intern will be a member of our Richmond-based Marketing team and will play a key role helping expand brand visibility and seller awareness thus directly impacting revenue growth.
What you’ll do: ○ Monitor media for stories related to our brand, target markets and sellers ○ Create and curate engaging content ○ Communicate and build relationships with media ○ Create and distribute press releases ○ Build and update media lists and databases ○ Proofing written materials for style, grammar, etc. ○ Perform research and market analysis activities ○ Participate in brainstorms and internal meetings ○ Assist with daily PR administrative duties
What we’re looking for: ○ Passion for the PR industry and best practices ○ Strong desire to learn along with professional drive ○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ○ Solid understanding of the different social networks ○ Strong ability to work well with others ○ Adherence to deadlines and budgets ○ Fluent in work collaboration tools (i.e., Google Drive, Invision, etc) ○ Ability to create, share and follow through on creative ideas ○ Open to students who will be seniors or graduates at time of internship
