Position: Social Media Intern (unpaid)

Description

Start-up Employee Wellness Company looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. Company is creating an eCourse and will need to build mass following for various social media campaigns.

The intern hired for this position should exert purpose, passion, and want to live the mission of the organization. Students interested in gaining real-time, hands-on experience and the chance to build something from zero to launch should apply. In turn students will receive mentorship from Fuller Methods owner and VCU alumna, Marly Fuller, who has 15 years experience working with worldwide brands and nonprofits. She’s creative, eternally positive, laid back, passionate, and ready to change the world with this new opportunity.

 Responsibilities

- Build platforms and followers for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more.

- Engage with followers to encourage newsletter sign up

- Follow and share like-branded content

- Monthly reporting on user sentiment, number of followers, feedback, and suggestions

- Design branded images for all social platforms

Requirements

Students applying for this internship should be Communications or Marketing/Business majors. Previous success with building social followings preferred. Must be open to personal stress management techniques during work hours in order to keep the vibe chill.

Time commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week; minimum 3-month commitment, with 6 months desirable.

Compensation:  This is an unpaid position.  There is opportunity for school credit if allowed by the college/university of applicant.  Position offers an excellent opportunity to work on substantive projects and can result in a great reference/resume builder.

Position: Blogger and Content Writer Intern (unpaid)

 

Description

Start-up Employee Wellness Company looking to hire an intern with strong, creative writing skills for blogging. Intern will have the opportunity to contribute up to three blog posts per week; also responsible for growing newsletter opt-ins, managing mailing lists, and distributing weekly content. This role will work closely with the Social Media Intern to appropriately distribute on various social networks.

Students interested in gaining real-time, hands-on experience and the chance to build something from zero to launch should apply. - Develop content for emails, web banners, advertisements, and other forms of written communication

- Follow like-minded bloggers and share/comment on content

- Monthly reporting on user sentiment, number of followers, feedback, and suggestions

Requirements

Position: Graphic Arts Intern (unpaid)

 

Description

Start-up Employee Wellness Company looking to hire an intern who can work the Adobe Creative Cloud like it’s your… well you get the point. If you’re killing it with graphic design and want the opportunity to have your work published real-time, this gig is for you. This role will also work closely with the Social Media and Blogger & Content Writer Interns.

Students interested in gaining real-time, hands-on experience and the chance to build something from zero to launch should apply. - Design elements to support the brand for employee training programs like: mascot, workbooks, presentation slides, infographics, and online learning materials

- Create branded materials like brochures, whitepapers, graphics for social media

- Serve as project manager on all printed materials

- Develop visual content for emails, web banners, advertisements, and other forms of public communication

Requirements

Students applying for this internship should be Communications or Marketing/Business majors. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and ability to share samples of work. Must be open to personal stress management techniques during work hours in order to keep the vibe chill. 

Time commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week; minimum 3-month commitment, with 6 months desirable.

Position: Film Production & Video Editor Intern (unpaid)

 

Description

Start-up Employee Wellness Company looking to hire an intern with experience filming and editing audio and video to help create an eCourse. This role will work closely with the Graphic Arts Intern based on integration needs for editing.

The intern hired for this position should exert purpose, passion, and want to live the mission of the organization. Students interested in gaining real-time, hands-on experience and the chance to build something from zero to launch should apply. In turn students will receive mentorship from Fuller Methods owner and VCU alumna, Marly Fuller, who has 15 years experience working with worldwide brands and nonprofits. Responsibilities

- Film 30-minute interviews with experts from a variety of backgrounds all related to stress management

- Prepare set, lighting, sound, etc. for all film shoots

- Potential ability to write scripts/interview questions for special guests

- Edit film to include graphics and target messages

- Load final product to FTP/eCourse website

- Build trailers/teasers to be used in marketing newsletters

- Create audio clips to be used in promos, podcasts, or in social media posts

- Edit audio interviews to include music/sound effects/etc. for podcasts and eCourse

Requirements

Students applying for this internship should be Communications or Marketing/Business majors. Previous experience with filming & editing and should have a passion for storytelling. Must be open to personal stress management techniques during work hours in order to keep the vibe chill.

Time commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week; minimum 3-month commitment, with 6 months desirable.

This role will work closely with the Social Media Intern to appropriately distribute news on various social networks.

- Write, pitch, and distribute press releases/media alerts

- Perform research and market analysis  

- Build media contact network & assist in administrative duties

- Research and report on like-minded news features to be repurposed

- Research special guests for eCourse and write bios

- Opportunity to interview special guests for eCourse

- Monthly reporting on number of pitches vs. published articles, interview opportunities, feedback, and suggestions

Requirements

Students applying for this internship should be Communications majors. Must be an excellent written and verbal communicator with a strong desire to learn and a professional drive. Must be open to personal stress management techniques during work hours in order to keep the vibe chill.

Time commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week; minimum 3-month commitment, with 6 months desirable.
