The Robertson School of Media and Culture is welcoming two new faculty members this fall semester. Veronica Garabelli and Abby Walter will be instructors in the School's journalism and advertising programs.

Garabelli is an alumna of the Robertson School and joins the School from Virginia Business, where she worked as special projects editor. Walter is an alumna of the VCU Brandcenter and comes to to the Robertson School from Marker Seven, where she was a product designer.

"We are very excited to have Veronica Garabelli and Abby Walter on our faculty. Our students will greatly benefit from them as they are bringing the latest trends in journalism and advertising to their classrooms," said Dr. Marcus Messner, interim director of the Robertson School.

The Robertson School's longtime adjunct professor Mary Ann Owens will also be joining the faculty as a full-time journalism instructor this year.

"Mary Ann Owens has had a tremendous impact on our journalism students over the years as an adjunct professor," said Messner. "I am very happy that we now have her on board as a full-time instructor."
