The Robertson School hosted a social for faculty, alumni and friends on Tuesday in Washington, DC. The event was co-hosted with the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland and the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University at the national conference of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).

Robertson School Director Dr. Hong Cheng was excited to welcome the many guests who came to the annual reception at the conference. In his welcome address to the crowd, Cheng proposed a closer partnership with the other two universities, especially with the student news operation of the Merrill College. Maryland's Dean Lucy Dalglish, LSU's Dean Dr. Martin Johnson and his predecessor Jerry Ceppos joined Cheng in welcoming the guests.
