Robertson School Faculty supports Letter of Concern to Richmond Mayor and Police Chief

The Faculty of the Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture at Virginia Commonwealth University signed a Letter of Concern sent by the Student Press Law Center and several other press freedom and First Amendment groups to Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney and Police Chief Gerald Smith in response to repeated confrontations between officers of the Richmond Police Department and journalists covering protests for racial justice this summer.
The Letter of Concern is posted on the website of the Student Press Law Center. It has been co-signed by the Student Press Law Center, the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information at the University of Florida, the College Media Association, the National Press Photographers Association, SPJ @ VCU, the Virginia Press Association, the Virginia Society of Professional Journalists, and the Faculty of the Robertson School.
