Catherine Kiesel graduated from the Robertson School with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She now shapes VCU’s voice as a communications specialist in the Office of Integrity and Compliance. Kiesel is also a freelance senior creative producer for Goodbeast—a bi-coastal experiential marketing agency—and manages marketing efforts for Karma Yoga Studio in Northern Virginia.
Mikala Wilson graduated from Louisiana State University with an undergraduate degree in sports administration, with a concentration in sports commerce. She has worked alongside LSU Athletics, Allied Universal Event Services, and LSU Football. Her end goal is to be a sports agent.
Porlan Cunningham earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications with a concentration in public relations from North Carolina A&T State University. She currently works in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement at Dominion Energy. Her career has included communications roles in public relations agencies, healthcare, education, nonprofit organizations, and government.
Marlee Rose McMillian is a recent graduate from VCU's mass communications program with a public relations concentration. She is currently pursuing the integrated communication track and hopes to go into the entertainment industry, focusing on publicity and crisis communications. She is also interested in social media management and marketing. McMillian was an intern and has continued working as a media monitor at PLUS Communications for three years.
Lelia Contee has a bachelor's degree in mass communications from VCU with a concentration in digital journalism and minors in sociology and African American studies. She has experience with writing at The Commonwealth Times, Capital News Service, and copy editing at Trill Mag.
Makaela Woodson earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in media production from VCU and is excited to continue her education in the Robertson School's integrated communication track. She is passionate about digital media, content creation, and strategic storytelling, with a particular interest in how communication can build meaningful connections with audiences.
Moriah Onmonya is studying integrated communications with the intention of pursuing a doctorate program. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting and watching films. She also enjoys making stained glass artworks and upcycling clothing and jewelry during her free time.
