Media Innovation Lab workshop on poster design

The Robertson School of Media and Culture is excited to announce the launch of a new workshop series, sponsored by its Media Innovation Lab. The first workshop will be about poster design and theories. It will be led by Professor Bizhan Khodabandeh, assistant professor of advertising.
DATE: Friday, March 6, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
LOCATION: Temple 1148 in the Robertson School of Media and Culture
SUPPLIES: Sketchbook or paper and some tools to draw/sketch with
REQUIREMENTS: Must be a Robertson School student who has successfully completed one of the software courses and feels confident using both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop

Students will watch the film "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night" in the morning and then take a break to have lunch on their own. Once back, students will experience a crash course in poster design by developing their own poster for the film "A Girl Walks..." using various design theories and techniques touched on by Professor Khodabandeh. These theories will include both industry standards and Khodabandeh's own techniques. Final outcome will be the start of an 11X17 poster for the film.
