Robertson School Associate Director Dr. Marcus Messner was named an Eminent Scholar by VCU's College of Humanities and Sciences last Tuesday. Messner, who is an associate professor in the journalism sequence, is one of three faculty members who received this inaugural award.

Robertson School advertising professor Dr. Cheng Hong won the Top Faculty Research Paper Award at the Public Relations of Society Educators Academy. Hong, who joined VCU this fall semester as an assistant professor, won the award with a team of researchers from the University of Miami.


Capital News Service secures funding from Virginia Press Foundation

Pamela Williams honored for service to university

The Robertson School's executive assistant Pamela Williams was recognized for her outstanding service to the university at an awards ceremony and reception at the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Tuesday. Nominated by the Robertson School, Williams was one of 16 finalists university-wide for the Dorris Douglas Budd Award, which was established in 1981 and honors outstanding staff members who enhance the image and mission of the university.
