Real-World Learning

The Robertson School is committed to real-world learning which fosters education and engagement outside the classroom, and includes opportunities such as internships, and capstone and service-learning courses.

Internships

Through partnerships with communications companies and government agencies in the metropolitan Richmond area, the school offers extensive internships in advertising, public relations, television, newspapers, magazines and new media.

Our student organizations offer opportunities for you to develop leadership, professional and academic skills, as well as build relationships with your fellow students and faculty.

Capstone Courses

In our capstone and other advanced courses, students nearing graduation apply the knowledge they've acquired into real-world experience in mass communications.
