Summer 2024: Commonwealth Senior Living - Social Media & Marketing Intern (PAID)

SOCIAL MEDIA & DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN – HEALTHCARE/HOSPITALITY OVERVIEW:

Commonwealth Senior Living is in search of a Summer 2024 Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern who will be responsible for supporting the overall success of the home office sales and marketing operations. This individual will report to the Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy and work closely with both our sales and marketing teams.

This is a paid internship. 

Hours: 20-40 hours week. 

Pay Rate: $12/hour 

Start Date: 6/3/24 

Location: 915 East St. Charlottesville, VA (hybrid schedule) 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the schedule for our communities’ social media accounts including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, and Google Business through Sprout Social, our social media management platform, and the native platforms 
  • Through Sprout Social, analyze and report on:
    • Positive/negative sentiment of social media engagement 
    • Identify what campaigns are currently working well and which ones have opportunities  for improvement 
    • Identify opportunities for new campaigns
  • Analyze current online review responses to create updated variations for most common reviews
  • Create more responses for review management platform
  • Assist in coordinating photo and video shoots
  • Maintain a working knowledge of key responsibilities of the entire Home Office Sales & Marketing team in order to provide backup support and coverage as needed
  • Perform additional responsibilities to support Home Office Sales & Marketing team members as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Recent graduate or currently seeking an associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or other related fields 
  • Prefer one year of administrative experience with organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess excellent phone, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new applications
